Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role located in Mombasa for a QA/Support Software Engineer at CompuLynx. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to quality assurance, software development, and providing support to ensure the smooth functioning of software systems.
QA/Software Support Engineer – Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Utilize strong computer science fundamentals and software development skills to understand system architecture and behavior.
- Apply expertise in back-end web development to support, maintain, and enhance server-side components.
- Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages and Object-Oriented Programming OOP principles.
- Perform both manual and automated testing to validate software functionality and performance.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and debug complex software issues to provide timely resolutions.
- Support users and stakeholders by addressing technical issues and ensuring system reliability.
- Work in Agile development environments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Leverage strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate defects and suggest enhancements.
