We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Burundi Impact Lead to join our team. This is an unparalleled opportunity for an individual looking to make a significant impact on smallholder farmers and play an integral role in our company's success. This position involves overseeing the tracking and reporting of project outcomes, fostering partnerships, and ensuring program sustainability.
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Burundi Impact Lead role is to develop and implement an innovative impact strategy that aims to drastically increase the income of smallholder farmers. Specifically, the goal is to boost each farmer's earnings by at least $160 by 2030 through strategic initiatives, effective partnerships, and sustainable programs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and implement the impact strategy and workplan for the division.
- Set SMART objectives addressing key program issues and communicate these goals to team members.
- Oversee and empower the impact team to research and implement impactful activities.
- Identify new research opportunities and design multi-year impact models using relevant program data.
- Manage direct reports' performance and professional development to align with organization's goals.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in impact strategy development and income generation for smallholder farmers.
- Capability of project outcome tracking, reporting and fostering partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability in maintaining program sustainability.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in agricultural innovation, research and monitoring and evaluation (MEL).
- Proficiency in English is required, with additional language skills in French and Kirundi preferred.
