Our client, an AgTech platform transforming out grower management in Africa, is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Implementation Officer to join their exceptional team.
THE JOB
As the Implementation Officer, you will be responsible for the client on the ground from the moment a client engagement begins—whether through a contract, pilot, or pre-deployment support. Your mission is to ensure a seamless setup, rollout, and sustained adoption of the client’s platform. You’ll work closely with agribusinesses, field teams, and client’s product team to translate client needs into operational success.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Client Implementation & Training 60%
- Lead the setup and activation of new client accounts on the platform
- Conduct on-site visits to train agribusiness staff and field agents on platform use
- Roll out implementation plans across client operations—from HQ to farm level
- Ensure clients adopt key workflows: data collection, contract setup, monitoring, input allocation, and reporting
- Deliver clear, structured training and support tailored to each client’s context
- Client Relationship & Support 30%
- Act as the primary contact during the initial phases of each client journey
- Build trust through strong communication, active listening, and follow-through
- Anticipate client needs, troubleshoot challenges, and resolve issues independently
- Track onboarding milestones and maintain high levels of satisfaction and engagement
- Ensure a smooth handover to the Account Management team after successful rollout
- Platform Feedback & Insights 10%
- Capture field insights and client feedback to guide product improvements
- Report bugs, friction points, and feature requests to the product team
- Benchmark the client’s implementation experience against alternative tools or legacy systems
QUALIFICATIONS
The job holder should have the following qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, IT, rural development, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience agribusiness operations, client service, or digital tool deployment
