The Resident Project Engineer (Civil) is responsible for overseeing the construction and technical management of civil projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards. He/she acts as the primary point of contact between the client, project team, contractors, and consultants on-site.
Skills
- Supervise and monitor daily site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and work progress.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure construction activities meet design standards.
- Resolve technical issues promptly to prevent delays.
- Prepare and maintain progress reports, site diaries, and other project documentation.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
- Assist in the procurement and review of method statements, work programmes, and inspection & test plans.
- Liaise with project management, consultants, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Monitor and control project costs and resources effectively.
