Market analysis, support in preparing presentations, and calculation of economic parameters of transactions.
Our UAE based client is searching for a team member having experience with economic models, LNG pricing, competitive analysis. Presenting knowledge of key contractual frameworks (TUA, MSPA, SPA, GSA, PPA, CNs), LNG logistics, and small-scale LNG.
Our client is seeking a strategic, analytical, and commercially oriented professional to join their LNG business development team. The Strategy & Structuring Analyst will support the identification, evaluation, and development of LNG market opportunities across target geographies (Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Vietnam). The role requires strong quantitative skills, deep understanding of global LNG pricing and trading dynamics, and the ability to support deal teams with market insights, economic modelling, and transaction structuring.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
• Conduct market research and competitive intelligence on LNG demand, pricing, and infrastructure development in target countries.
• Build and maintain economic models for LNG supply-demand scenarios, pricing structures (indexation, slope), and project economics.
• Support business developers with preparation of investment decks, commercial proposals, and presentations for counterparties and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze and benchmark SPA/HOA/MOU deal structures, payment terms, credit risks, and price review mechanisms.
• Monitor LNG market trends (spot vs. long-term), regulatory shifts, geopolitical factors, and FX/commercial risks affecting entry strategy.
• Evaluate and compare commercial frameworks in different regions to advise on optimal entry and go-to-market strategies.
• Work closely with legal, finance, and trading teams to assess implications of deal structures and market positioning.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in economics, Finance, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. Master's preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in LNG, natural gas, energy strategy, or project finance.
• Strong financial modelling skills (Excel); familiarity with DCF, NPV, IRR, payback analysis.
• Good knowledge of LNG pricing mechanisms (JCC, TTF, Henry Hub, Brent-linked), shipping terms (FOB, DES), and value chain economics.
• Experience supporting business development teams or M&A transactions in energy.
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience in international markets (India, ASEAN, Africa, GCC) and working in multi-cultural teams. Work in energy consulting.
• Familiarity with LNG trading, terminal infrastructure, and regasification economics.
• Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and market intelligence tools (e.g., Kpler, ICIS, Refinitiv).
Languages:
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential.
